Terms of Business

The Client will be the legal owner and will hold intellectual copyright of all work undertaken by Get Set Social Media. Get Set Social Media shall keep any work undertaken confidential – except for the purposes of providing the services – and not use it for personal gain or promotion without consent of the Client.

The business affairs of the Client shall not be discussed or disclosed to any third parties.

Under the terms of the Data Protection Act 1998 / GDPR, the Client and Get Set Social Media may keep on record such information (e.g. contact details, tax relevant information) as is necessary.

Get Set Social Media will protect Client’s business information securely at all times, including any login details and passwords. On termination of the contract we delete all client data held, excluding data held for our own tax records.

Logins and passwords are deleted physically from the local hard disks using file shredding software.

Our privacy policy is available on the website.

Clients will be invoiced in advance of commencement of work, with prior notification and agreement by both parties, unless otherwise agreed.

Payments for work are to be made within seven (7) days upon receipt of the invoice, unless otherwise agreed.

If during the term of work additional tasks are requested by the Client, Get Set Social Media may renegotiate the fee and/or the deadline.

If on receipt of the item to be worked on it becomes apparent that significantly more work is required than had been anticipated in the preliminary discussion, Get Set Social Media may request to renegotiate the fee or the deadline.

An agreement, in writing or by email, of a set number of hours a week or month may not be carried over to subsequent periods by the client, without prior agreement from both parties.

Any non-standard supplies are not included in our rates and will be billed separately.

Once an invoice becomes overdue, Get Set Social Media reserves the right to halt services and not to return work if invoices are not paid within the specified payment period.

It is up to Clients to check work which we return and raise any queries.

Either the Client or Get Set Social Media may terminate an
agreement at any time by notice of not less than one full month.

The Client or Get Set Social Media has the right to terminate a contract for services if there is a serious breach of these terms; the
Client refuses to pay any invoice due; or either is affected by insolvency or ceases to conduct business.

On termination the Client shall pay to Get Set Social Media all
outstanding invoices and/or for any work carried out, up to the point of termination, which has not yet been invoiced.
